Membership in the LA FRA
Membership in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Association is
limited to spouses, parents, grandparents, sisters, brothers, children,
stepchildren and grandchildren not less than 16 years of age of members of the
Fleet Reserve Association and widows, widowers, parents, grandparents, sisters,
brothers, children, stepchildren and grandchildren not less than 16 years of age
of persons who were members at the time of death or eligible to be members of
the Fleet Reserve Association at the time of death.

UNIT 162 LA FRA NEWS - JULY 2010
INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS FOR THE BRANCH AND UNIT WAS HELD AT THE JUNE MEETING. IT WAS A VERY NICE SERVICE FOR THE MEN AND LADIES. MANY THANKS TO LEO VANCE, WHO WAS INSTALLING OFFICER FOR THE BRANCH. LEO IS THE REGIONAL PRESIDENT SOUTH CENTRAL AND HE IS FROM BRANCH 159. THE INSTALLING OFFICER FOR THE UNIT WAS REGIONAL PRESIDENT SOUTH CENTRAL STONEY VANCE FROM BRANCH 159. FOR THE SOCIAL FOLLOWING INSTALLATION ACTIVITIES CHAIRMEN DOT AND JOHN NEAL PREPARED A SPAGHETTI DINNER AND THE MEMBERS PREPARED THEIR FAVORITE DISHES TO GO WITH IT. IT WAS A VERY GOOD MEAL AND DOT AND JOHN WANT TO THANK EVERYONE FOR THEIR HELP.
MANY THANKS TO FLOYD MARTINEZ FOR CLEANING THE MEETING ROOM FOR THE UNIT MEETING, YOU DID A WONDERFUL JOB. THANKS TO SHERRYL ROBINSON FOR THE CORSAGE THAT WAS PRESENTED TO OUR REGIONAL PRESIDENT STONEY VANCE.
MEMBERS DOT, JOE AND JOHN NEAL AND FLOYD MARTINEZ ATTENDED THE GRETNA PRAYER DINNER. THEY REPORTED THAT THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD AND THE PROGRAM PRESENTED AFTER THE MEAL WAS VERY ENJOYABLE.
THE REGIONAL CONVENTION WILL BE HELD IN SHREVEPORT, LA AUGUST 19, 20 AND 21, 2010. RUNNING FOR REGIONAL PRESIDENT IS KAREN SMITH FROM UNIT 11, FORT WORTH, TEXAS AND REGIONAL VICE-PRESIDENT, JOHN NEAL UNIT 162, GRETNA, LA.
